Road to Carnival: The Soca Songs Dominating the Season

Every carnival season has a soundtrack, and this one is already loud. As the road marches closer, the Soca City inbox is overflowing with new heat — so let's rank the tracks dominating the season so far.

Topping the list is a power anthem that has entire fetes jumping in unison by the second chorus, followed closely by a groovy slow-burn that pairs perfectly with paint and morning cocktails. The surprise of the season? An unexpected collaboration between a dancehall heavyweight and a veteran soca general that nobody saw coming — and everybody keeps replaying.

Hear all of them in heavy rotation on Soca City, weekday afternoons from 1 pm, with the full countdown every Friday during the fete. Bring your flag.
